Dedicated to the work of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger and all the other people, both actors and technicians who helped them make those wonderful films.

What did they do in PnP films?
J. Arthur Rank was the backer of films such as :-
- The Silver Fleet (1943)
- A Matter of Life and Death (1946)
- The Red Shoes (1948)
- Battle of the River Plate (1956)
- Ill Met by Moonlight (1957)
- Miracle in Soho (1957)
It was due to Rank (and Korda before him) that P&P had the unique freedom to be (in the words of Martin Scorsese) "Experimental film-makers working inside a totally commercial system".
