The Masters
The Powell & Pressburger Pages

Dedicated to the work of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger and all the other people, both actors and technicians who helped them make those wonderful films.

A lot of the documents have been sent to me or have come from other web sites. The name of the web site is given where known. If I have unintentionally included an image or document that is copyrighted or that I shouldn't have done then please email me and I'll remove it.

I make no money from this site, it's purely for the love of the films.

[Any comments are by me (Steve Crook) and other members of the email list]

The Great Powell and Pressburger quiz

Answer as many as you can - no prizes, it's just a bit of fun.

I've tried to avoid answers that can be found (easily) on the IMDb or other web sites.

If you're not sure of the exact answer, tell me as much as you can to show what you do know. Then you can go & watch the film again (or for the first time) to see what the answer should have been. I'll also send you an email reply giving the answers.

If you've not seen the film then either guess or just say "not seen it" (or something similar).

If you're not sure of the acronyms used for the film titles they are listed here.

First, please sign in with your name

and email address

If you don't put your name and/or email address in the box then I won't know who you are
- which would make it pretty tricky to see how everyone did :)
