TV Guide review

Pavlova: A Woman for all Time (1983)

A bloated and sprawling biography of the great ballet star of the early twentieth century, Anna Pavlova. Soviet ballerina Beliaeva does a wonderful job on the dancing, but her acting is woefully inadequate. The film has been so severely cut from its massive original length (supervised by Michael Powell) that what remains is simply a shallow look at some of the highlights of Pavlova's tragically abbreviated life.
